This multi-functional arena is designed to host a variety of sports and entertainment activities, featuring a flexible seating capacity that can accommodate up to 83,000 attendees. The stadium boasts a retractable roof inspired by the ancient Roman Pantheon, breathtaking views of the Atlanta skyline, and the largest 360-degree HD video halo board in the NFL, measuring nearly six stories tall and 1,100 linear feet in circumference. Additionally, the venue includes an exterior fan plaza that enhances the game day experience with entertainment options, bars, restaurants, and unique gathering spaces. Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a part of AMB Sports & Entertainment, which encompasses both the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to become a vital member of our Finance team at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This role will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and will be integral in managing daily and month-end accounting tasks. The selected candidate will also assist in the annual audit processes and various special projects. The Staff Accountant will provide essential support to the finance team and management, including process documentation, implementation of controls, treasury management, and other assigned initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in estimating, settling, accounting, and reporting for stadium events.
  • Prepare general ledger entries while maintaining relevant records and documentation.
  • Support the preparation of account reconciliations.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding issues and discrepancies.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and complete other projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Educational Background
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Experience or interest in stadium or entertainment accounting and reporting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Great Plains, Concur, and Adaptive software is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
