We are seeking a qualified Senior Accounting Specialist to join our client's finance team. This role is essential for managing daily general ledger activities and providing support for accounts payable functions. The successful candidate will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be integral to the financial operations of the organization.
Compensation: $70,000 - $77,000 per year
Work Schedule: First Shift, 8 AM - 5 PM
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Transactions:
- Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Facilitate accounts payable processes and assist with accounts receivable as necessary.
- Prepare and record journal entries accurately.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate insightful financial reports and analyses to aid in strategic decision-making.
- Conduct bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial documentation.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Monitor and analyze expenditures against budgetary constraints, including credit card transactions.
- Support cost control initiatives and financial forecasting efforts.
- Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing accounting processes.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of accounting systems and procedures.
- Work closely with other departments to resolve financial matters and provide assistance.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and financial documentation.
- General Ledger Management (4 years of experience required)
- Internal Auditing (4 years of experience required)
- Month-End Closing Procedures (4 years of experience required)
- Journal Entry Preparation (4 years of experience required)
- Full Cycle Accounting (4 years of experience required)
- Process Improvement Initiatives (4 years of experience required)
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Experienced level candidate preferred
