Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with External Service Providers to formulate future strategies for SAP solutions.
2. Lead the execution of proof of concept initiatives to evaluate the potential business benefits of emerging SAP functionalities and technologies.
3. Spearhead the design and deployment of solutions across various business units, with a primary focus on diverse SAP modules.
4. Develop and communicate the SAP infrastructure roadmap, maximizing business value by encouraging stakeholders to utilize existing resources effectively.
5. Engage in discussions with business units to define project scopes, ensuring that the necessary SAP infrastructure services and capabilities are in place to meet business requirements.
Technical Leadership:
6. Conduct design and technology reviews, manage vendor interactions, and collaborate with SAP OSS for effective problem resolution.
7. Oversee release planning, establishing timelines for cutover activities and serving as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert for SAP infrastructure technologies.
8. Work closely with infrastructure teams and suppliers on architectural design, application upgrades, project implementations, capacity management, and system performance optimization.
Collaboration and Support:
9. Partner with technical resources across hardware, operating systems, development, and functional areas to address support and production challenges.
10. Provide expert guidance in the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of various SAP environments, ensuring swift resolution of critical production support issues.
11. Establish and refine SAP administration standards, system installation and upgrade protocols, and comprehensive checklists.
12. Troubleshoot and resolve urgent SAP issues promptly, while managing multiple SAP releases and optimizing application performance and database management.
Qualifications:
Requires a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP administration, including knowledge of SAP Basis and infrastructure technologies. A solid understanding of SAP administration standards and system installation and upgrade procedures is essential.
