**State Campaigns Manager**, Strategic Policy Advocate

About the Role: We seek a highly skilled State Campaigns Manager to join our team at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating our state-based advocacy efforts, working closely with state partners to advance our policy goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective advocacy strategies to advance our policy goals in the states.
  • Build and maintain relationships with state partners, including policymakers, advocacy groups, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with our national team to develop and implement national advocacy campaigns.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to state partners on advocacy and campaigning best practices.
  • Develop and manage budgets and work plans to achieve program goals.
  • Contribute to the development of policy briefs, reports, and other written materials.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in advocacy, policy, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful advocacy and policy change.
  • Strong relationships with state partners and policymakers.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
