Environmental Campaigner Opportunity

Green Corps is seeking a dedicated Environmental Campaigner to join our team. As a Campaigner, you will receive comprehensive training in environmental organizing, including skills such as volunteer recruitment, event planning, and media outreach. You will then apply these skills to run a campaign on a pressing environmental issue, working to build community support and advocate for policy change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in one to two weeks of classroom training to learn the fundamentals of environmental organizing
  • Run a campaign to address a critical environmental issue, working to build community support and advocate for policy change
  • Develop and implement a campaign plan, including volunteer recruitment, event planning, and media outreach
  • Collaborate with Green Corps staff and other campaign team members to achieve campaign goals
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in environmental organizing or a related field is not required, but a passion for protecting the environment and a strong work ethic are essential
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively with others and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Flexibility to adjust plans as needed to respond to campaign developments
