Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to join our team at Nippon Steel & Sumikin Bussan Americas, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our sales team, ensuring seamless communication with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales orders, purchase orders, and order profiles, ensuring accurate and timely entry into our system.
  • Finalize deliveries, arranging and tracking shipments as needed.
  • Register new vendors in our database and assist with credit applications.
  • Issue invoices based on terms and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Enter data related to buying, selling, transporting, and other business activities into our system.
  • Monitor and report on data statistics for import and domestic sales.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Assist in creating forecast numbers and reporting on sales activity.
  • Support sales representatives and managers with administrative tasks, including booking travel arrangements and preparing sales-related documents.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Office/admin work experience preferred, with experience in trading admin or trading-related work a plus.
  • Fluent/Business level in English required; Japanese skill not required but helpful.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • ERP system experience a plus, with knowledge of GP a definite advantage.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Working Conditions:

The Sales Coordinator will work in a fast-paced office environment, with frequent communication with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
