Job Description

Laser Shot Inc is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and installation of live-fire and simulated weapons training systems.

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for directing the activities involved in purchasing materials, products, and services necessary for the operation of the company.

The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing and be able to analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, terms of sales, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
  • Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
  • Monitor changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends, or futures markets.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in purchasing is required.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
