Job Title: Technical Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Procurement Specialist to join our team at Weatherford. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing technical goods and services that meet our organization's demand requirements, business, and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of technical specifications of products and services procured.
  • Source requested parts/services to required specifications, utilizing contract pricing where available.
  • Review purchase requisitions raised by Operations and/or Manufacturing branches, seeking clarification of requests and obtaining necessary information.
  • Perform tasks relative to Purchase Order management, including creating new orders, communicating with suppliers, and monitoring for change management requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between the supplier and Source to Pay functions to resolve issues affecting timely payment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or equivalent experience) and 6+ years of Supply Chain experience.
  • Prior working experience in planning, purchasing, and material optimization.
  • Experience working in a procurement, supply chain, planning, material management position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
