About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our integrated product team, you will participate in multi-disciplinary work across various engineering disciplines, including Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC), Signal Processing, and Performance Simulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create high-fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support
  • Develop and implement modeling solutions, conduct trade studies, and evaluate system and subsystem performance
  • Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other department personnel to perform simulation activities
  • Work on diverse projects, determine approaches and solutions, and provide development guidance throughout the product lifecycle
  • Provide technical expertise for simulation products and assist senior Modeling Engineers in preparing detailed plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field and five (5) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis
  • Experience programming in C, C++, or other high-order languages and using MATLAB or Python for data evaluation
  • Experience developing or simulating physical systems and academic or work experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
  • Leadership experience managing others using applied system engineering principles and experience working on a team and independently
  • Experience developing signal processing/GNC algorithms or models for missile applications and experience with Control Hardware Design and Test
  • Experience using UNIX/Linux-based workstations and Software Configuration Management tools
  • Course work or experience in radar, signal and image processing, radar and/or EO/IR environment models, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture, inertial navigation, guidance theory
