Power Systems Field Service Supervisor

Job Summary

Wagner Equipment Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of contract field service technicians and CA technicians. You will also make recommendations to the Field Service Manager regarding overall departmental activities, ensuring alignment with the company's vision of working as 'One Professional Team.'

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all administrative needs, including invoicing, customer feedback, and purchase orders.
  • Establish processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Aid in directing office staff to improve and maintain processes and procedures.
  • Implement procedures to efficiently open, close, and invoice contract work orders.
  • Coordinate PIP completion to meet Caterpillar standards.
  • Oversee warranty work order preparation and completion.
  • Maintain and execute good housekeeping and safety in the work area.
  • Supervise Contract Admin central dispatch, achieving CAT standards for on-time completion.
  • Work with Fleet Department to ensure DOT/CDL compliance.
  • Collaborate with Parts Admin to execute and fulfill back orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Instruct office personnel and establish defined roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist with scheduling and dispatching contract technicians.
  • Gather and manage purchase orders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer disputes.
  • Basic understanding of the Caterpillar equipment line.
  • All other duties as assigned by manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Direct Reports: CA central dispatch, PIP technicians, and all contract field service technicians.
  • Complete timely performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Assist in hiring and training Field Service personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of sales experience.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • 1-3 years of technical or mechanical experience.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience.
  • 3-5 years of administrative/clerical experience.

Physical Demands & Competencies

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands, and hearing.
  • Sedentary work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 25 pounds or more.
  • Data entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication, and math skills.
  • Safety and product knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Intermediate knowledge of CRM/Sales Link.
  • Intermediate knowledge of DSI/SIS Web/STW.
  • Advanced knowledge of DBS.

Work Environment

  • Noise: Moderate.
  • Environment: Indoors and outdoors.

Travel Requirements

  • 1-25%.
