Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in new product development projects, application and production engineering of existing products, and the processes that bring them to fruition. You will work closely with Senior Electrical, Software, and Mechanical Engineers to take complete ownership of and responsibility for well-defined tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and contribute to design reviews of electrical systems and circuits
  • Design and develop electrical systems and circuits, including specification, component selection, and manufacturing engineering
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with agency certification and code requirements
  • Develop and maintain component and material databases
  • Assist with product agency approval, regulatory adherence, and electrical safety code compliance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with electrical engineering CAD tools
  • Knowledge of programming languages and writing simple programs
  • Experience reading blueprints and construction drawings
  • Experience with LabView
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NFPA 70)
Preferred Skills:
  • Engineer-in-Training or Licensed Professional Engineer status
  • Experience with solid-state electrical power conversion
  • Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design
  • Familiarity with programmable logic devices and microcontrollers
  • Working knowledge of computer networks and network components
