About The Role

Overview

The Banking Operations Associate possesses a solid understanding of financial and bookkeeping processes and is tasked with a range of monetary and administrative responsibilities.

This role involves responding to incoming inquiries and providing assistance to clients. The associate is responsible for processing and reporting Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) reports from various officers. Additionally, they handle routine postings for the Operations group concerning chargebacks and ACH returns. The position also includes supporting BSA functions and reporting, as well as reviewing daily operational reports and addressing customer communications.

The compensation for this role starts at $22.83 per hour. Compensation offers are evaluated individually, considering factors such as geographic location, experience, and educational background.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service through telephone interactions.
  • Manage daily NSF report processing between officers and the Operations team.
  • Handle chargebacks, earnings, and ACH returns/exceptions on a daily basis.
  • Review daily operational reports and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Assist with CTR report reviews and other BSA-related functions.
  • Analyze monitoring reports and communicate weekly findings to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable federal/state regulations.
  • Assist customers with online banking and payment inquiries.
  • Respond to messages from digital banking platforms daily.
  • Process returned mail and provide follow-up on outgoing wire transfer requests.
  • Review and correct monthly account closure documentation.
  • Cross-train in other bookkeeping roles as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

About You

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred two years of experience in banking deposit operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with general banking products and terminology.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Understanding of the Bank's customer service philosophy.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Proficient in PC usage and office software.
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
  • Reliable attendance and adaptability to change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

This position requires working indoors in a climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels.


Physical Demands:

The physical requirements for this role include sitting for extended periods, repetitive hand movements, and effective communication. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting may be necessary. The employee must be able to operate standard office equipment and perform computer-related tasks for several hours daily.


Mental Conditions:

The employee must be capable of working independently or as part of a team, following written and oral instructions, and interacting professionally with various personalities.
