Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development and Expansion:

  • Formulate and implement the strategic plan for the retail reroofing division, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business avenues within the retail sector, focusing on both national and regional clients.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and industry partners, to drive project acquisition.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to devise effective promotional strategies for the retail reroofing division.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitive positioning, and customer preferences to pinpoint growth opportunities and refine service offerings.

Project Oversight and Management:

  • Lead the execution of retail reroofing projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
  • Guide the project management team, fostering effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
  • Monitor project developments, swiftly addressing any challenges that arise.
  • Evaluate project financials, implementing strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and manage a high-performing team, including project managers, estimators, and support personnel.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and expertise.
  • Encourage a collaborative and inclusive workplace, emphasizing teamwork and a customer-focused approach.
  • Set performance benchmarks and conduct regular evaluations, offering constructive feedback.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols across all retail reroofing projects.
  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee superior workmanship and client satisfaction.
  • Work with the safety and compliance team to foster a robust safety culture within the division.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in retail reroofing.

Financial Oversight:

  • Develop and manage the profit and loss statement for the retail reroofing division, monitoring financial performance.
  • Control project expenses, including labor, materials, and subcontractors, to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate invoicing and financial reporting.
  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic initiatives and business growth.

Additional Duties:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in contracting or construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and expanding a retail reroofing division or business unit.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for building relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Team-oriented mindset is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software and financial analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
