Tax Manager Job Description

The Tax Manager position at BGSF requires a highly skilled tax accountant who can manage and oversee a broad range of clients, providing technical expertise and supervision of staff work product. This role involves managing complex tax and accounting projects, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in public accounting, with a minimum of 5 years of experience and prior management experience. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax is required, with a Master's degree preferred. A CPA license is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and staff through effective communication and exceptional service
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other tax-related documents
  • Manage complex tax projects, including like-kind exchanges, special allocations, and publicly traded partnership investments
  • Stay up-to-date with tax regulations and ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
  • Train and supervise staff, prioritizing projects and assigning tasks as needed
