Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Insight Global. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare essential information, equipment, and supplies for exams and procedures.
  • Assist physicians with setup and patient examinations, ensuring a seamless experience for patients.
  • Perform patient care tasks, including vital signs monitoring, rooming, and assisting with procedures.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations, verifying dosages with licensed professionals.
  • Process prescription refill requests and conduct waived testing, EKGs, and immunizations as needed.
  • Collect and send specimens to labs for testing, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist physicians in maintaining preventive health measures for patients.
  • Promptly report and refer patient concerns, symptoms, and reactions to licensed clinic personnel.
Scheduling and Customer Service
  • Manage patient physician appointments and schedule radiology appointments using our scheduling system.
  • Respond effectively to patient inquiries, providing accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Offer information, referrals, and excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for patients.
  • Act as a patient advocate, coordinator, and liaison for Insight Global within the community.
Clerical Duties
  • Inform patients about authorizations and collect necessary information.
  • Collect patient demographic and insurance data, entering it into systems and assigning medical record numbers.
  • Assure proper verifications and authorizations before patient encounters.
  • Assist with messaging from patients to physicians in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an approved school/institution or equivalent documented training required.
  • Knowledge of EPIC and front and back-office experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification required.
  • CMA - Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of directly related experience required.
