Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As an Inventory Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our medical supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the purchase and control of supplies and equipment, utilizing your analytical skills to identify cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, forecasting needs and prioritizing purchase requests to ensure timely delivery of essential products.
  • Develop and maintain product information and warranty files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless inventory management and patient care.
Technical Capabilities
  • Data Entry: Accurately transcribe information from various sources into our electronic system.
  • Cost Allocation: Analyze and record costs to the appropriate accounts, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Purchasing: Understand supplier relations and supply chain management, handling supplier-related activities and requests for pricing.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor material movement, reconcile inventory balances, and maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and efficiency of our products and services, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements
  • Relevant Work Experience: 2 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or a related field.
