Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF/Wireless Design Engineer to join our team at Stellant Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge microwave products and manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the overall detailed design of hardware, software, or processes related to microwave products and manufacturing equipment.
  • Recognize design and manufacturing problems and errors, and take or recommend corrective action.
  • Design hardware, circuits, components, or tooling for constructing prototypes and proving the feasibility of the design or manufacturing processes being investigated.
  • Resolve manufacturing problems on products by initiating corrective action plans and procedures, and ensuring that root cause solutions are found.
  • Monitor manufacturing techniques and organize efforts to reduce costs, improve yields, and reduce scrap.
  • Gain competency in evaluating environmental conditions such as shock, vibration, temperature, etc.; analyze equipment to establish test and operating conditions for conducting experimental tests.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals for new programs, which may lead to new products or processes; organize and assist senior engineers in developing programs and plans for development projects.
  • Utilize all organizations within the facility to carry out engineering responsibilities.
  • Direct other engineers and technical support personnel as required.
  • Participate in preparing cost estimates for assigned projects.
  • Continues to develop a high level of technical competency through individual training, membership in technical societies, and relationships with other individuals in the microwave or manufacturing process community.
  • Achieve a high level of competency using CAD and other related software tools.
  • Establish technical dialogue with customers under the direction of Sales & Marketing to ensure that the customers' design specifications are met and that their requirements will be satisfied.

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or other related technical disciplines and at least two (2) years of experience; or an equivalent combination of technical education such as a MS degree and related experience.
