Position: Senior Superintendent – Building Construction Management

Burrow Global Construction, LLC is seeking a seasoned and proactive Senior Superintendent to manage our extensive multi-building construction initiative. As a pivotal figure in our design-build operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of projects from start to finish, upholding our rigorous standards for safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all on-site construction operations.
  • Manage a team of 7+ superintendents, each responsible for individual building projects.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
  • Act as the main liaison for on-site activities, coordinating efforts among teams and subcontractors.
  • Supervise daily operations and ensure compliance with project schedules.
  • Optimize labor, equipment, and materials to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards on-site.
  • Oversee a Site Safety Manager and a team of safety technicians.
  • Implement and uphold quality assurance processes to meet or exceed project specifications.
  • Supervise a Site Quality Manager and a team of quality technicians.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to swiftly identify and address issues.
  • Monitor project budgets, manage costs, and effectively allocate resources in collaboration with offsite project managers.
  • Review and authorize expenditures and contractor payments alongside offsite project managers.
  • Promote safety protocols and lead initiatives to cultivate a safety-oriented culture.
  • Ensure safety meetings, training sessions, and site inspections are conducted by qualified personnel in compliance with company and client standards.
  • Guide and mentor site personnel, including supervisors and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members to tackle challenges and achieve project milestones.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and local authorities.
  • Organize regular meetings for the Burrow Global team, client management, and subcontractors.
  • Provide consistent updates and reports to clients and company leadership.
  • Identify potential risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve on-site challenges promptly to minimize disruption to project progress.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of project advancements, safety records, and quality reports.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Regularly update the project master schedule and focused lookahead schedules for each building.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in construction management, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity on large-scale building projects.
  • Demonstrated success in completing commercial or industrial building construction projects.
  • Experience in overseeing a team of construction superintendents is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or relevant trade licenses are advantageous.
  • OSHA 30 safety certification is required but can be provided if not already held.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Procore & Bluebeam is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
