Project Overview:

We are collaborating with NextDecade to realize their vision of providing access to lower carbon-intensive energy through the Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project. This facility, located on a 984-acre site along the Brownsville ship channel, will feature multiple liquefaction trains and storage capabilities, ultimately achieving a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Role Summary:

As a Piping Operations Superintendent, you will oversee and coordinate subcontractor activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and technical standards on a complex project involving multiple stakeholders. Your leadership will be crucial in aligning operations with established schedules and executing work methods safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and monitor subcontractor activities through effective coordination and guidance.
  • Support large-scale projects with high complexity and multiple stakeholder involvement.
  • Planning:
    • Review and assess subcontractor construction schedules, resource allocations, and material requirements.
    • Approve subcontractor construction methods and schedules as necessary.
    • Lead efforts to ensure construction operations align with external interfaces and overall project timelines.
  • Safety and Quality:
    • Ensure installation of materials and equipment meets specifications and requirements.
    • Implement and enforce established policies and procedures for field construction management.
  • Technical Coordination:
    • Collaborate with Construction Field Engineers and Craft Professionals to interpret engineering and vendor documents.
    • Facilitate engineering solutions with subcontractors and field teams.
    • Address constructability issues in coordination with design teams.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) combined with 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of relevant work experience is required.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of multi-discipline construction or engineering operations.
  • Familiarity with safety philosophies and project management processes.
  • Proficiency in supervisory functions related to field activities.
  • Experience in managing subcontractors and direct hire workforce.
