The successful candidate will also supervise outside contractors, recommend architectural and engineering design procedures, and conduct construction surveillance to ensure adherence to contractual requirements.

This position will manage the construction oversight of architectural facilities projects in the shipyard and the outfitting of leased properties in close proximity to NNS.

The Construction Engineer will work in a project team with a designer to execute facility renovation and new construction work.

Their day will be split between in-office time and field work, with an emphasis on construction oversight in the field.

The Construction Engineer will perform site inspections to monitor vendor progress, resolve construction or design conflicts, and report on schedule progress.

They will support bid showings with vendors on construction bid & award and turnover to stakeholders at the end of the project.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Field verification;
  • Construction experience;
  • Project schedule;
  • Site safety, OSHA, Lock out tag out.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Master's, or PhD is required. School must be accredited.

Work Schedule:
5/40 workweek. First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
