Event Services Manager
The Event Services Manager plays a crucial role in leading the events team, ensuring that all setup and service standards are upheld for various events. Their expertise and guidance throughout the event process are vital for achieving successful outcomes. This position is responsible for training staff, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and core values, and creating an exceptional hospitality experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate events with setup, service staff, and the Culinary Team.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through effective oversight.
  • Monitor food quality and the courteous performance of the entire event staff.
  • Direct service staff during events and oversee service procedures.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of quality service through effective training and continuous improvement.
  • Manage equipment and inventory levels.
  • Maintain records, reports, and payroll documentation.
  • Inspect event spaces and submit maintenance requests as needed.
  • Be aware of business levels and adjust staffing accordingly.
  • Maximize profitability through effective management while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on current trends in event catering and service.
  • Communicate guest feedback to relevant departments.
  • Ensure consistent standards of guest satisfaction are achieved.
  • Lead daily team meetings and ensure all reports and checklists are completed promptly.
  • Monitor guest requests to ensure timely responses.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages employee growth and development.
  • Adhere to all company safety and security protocols.
  • Engage effectively in the service recovery process.
  • Participate in departmental meetings.
  • Communicate operational hours and group details to the team daily.
  • Train, develop, supervise, and mentor both front and back of house event staff.
  • Oversee the recruitment and hiring of event associates.
  • Ensure timely processing of payroll.
  • Cover shifts as necessary due to staff absences.
  • Provide coverage during weekends and holidays.
  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage or General Manager.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of four (4) years of prior experience in event management within a hospitality setting is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is required.
  • Must have a flexible schedule, with availability for nights and weekends.
  • A work week of 40 to 50 hours is expected.
The organization operates seven days a week and around the clock. All employees, both management and hourly, must be prepared for potential shift changes to meet business needs.
