Position Summary:

This role is primarily focused on safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems and data. The Lead Cybersecurity Architect will serve as a key player in our technology landscape, requiring a comprehensive understanding of various technologies while specializing in critical security domains.

Individual areas of expertise may differ, but potential focuses include Cloud Security, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Continuous Monitoring, Malware Defense, Firewall Management, Intrusion Detection, Vulnerability Assessment, and Security Training.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in security, network/systems infrastructure, or development roles; or 10 years in a general IT capacity.
  • Proficient in security features of Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and AWS.
  • Strong scripting skills in at least one language (Python, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Solid knowledge of both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience in network and systems administration (Windows and Linux).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and engineering skills, with the capability to independently assess both new and legacy technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or high school diploma/GED with relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365 (e.g., Identity and Access Management, Privileged Identity Management, Identity Governance, Azure Policies, Entra, Intune, Data Loss Prevention, Infrastructure as a Service).
  • Familiarity with additional cloud providers, including AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms, such as Splunk or Splunk ES.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Git).
  • Understanding of authentication and identity technologies (IAM, SSO, Active Directory/LDAP/Kerberos).
  • Experience in security incident management.
  • Familiarity with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Managed Detection and Response (MDR), or Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions.
  • Strong grasp of operating systems and command line management at all levels.
  • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols across all layers of the OSI model.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and containerization technologies (Docker).
  • Knowledge of HTTP protocol, Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies, BurpSuite testing, and APIs.
  • Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), SSL/TLS, and cryptographic principles.
  • Experience in micro-segmented environments.
  • Comfortable working with regular expressions.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Current relevant industry certifications (SANS/GIAC, etc.), Azure or AWS architecture or security certifications.
