Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Management:
    • Design, implement, and maintain the classified network infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability.
    • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, utilizing advanced tools and techniques.
    • Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability testing, identifying and mitigating potential threats.
    • Implement and maintain network security measures, ensuring compliance with all government and organizational security policies and standards.

  • Computer and Hardware Support:
    • Provide technical support for all unclassified computer systems and hardware on-site, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
    • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components, ensuring optimal performance and security.
    • Perform routine maintenance and updates, ensuring the reliability and security of all IT assets.
    • Assist with the setup and deployment of new computer systems and peripheral devices, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with other IDS team members to address and resolve IT-related issues, fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
    • Assist in the development and documentation of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring consistency and compliance.
    • Participate in on-call support rotation, addressing critical IT issues outside of regular business hours.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage IT projects related to network upgrades, security enhancements, and system deployments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of IT services and solutions.
    • Prepare and present project status reports and recommendations to management, ensuring transparency and accountability.

    • Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security principles.
    • Experience with classified network environments and familiarity with government security regulations.
    • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
