At Torpac Inc, we are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Fairfield, NJ. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our distribution center, ensuring seamless logistics and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise inventory planning and coordination with our factory in India to ensure timely delivery of products to our US and EU distribution centers.
- Coordinate with our customer service team to ensure accurate production and dispatch planning.
- Oversee the daily pick and pack operations, including truck and courier shipments, to ensure timely delivery of products to our customers.
- Responsible for customs, agriculture, and DEA clearance of inbound shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and ensure monthly inventory cycle counts are completed and reconciled.
- Develop, train, and recruit employees to achieve expected results.
- Support the President and Management Team in guiding company strategy and other job-related projects and duties as requested.
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution environment.
- International exposure via work experience or personal travel required.
- Excellent written communication skills, with daily written communication with the factory.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good quantitative and Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables.
