POSITION SUMMARY:
As an essential part of our organization, you will be tasked with managing the daily culinary operations, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and standards. Your responsibilities will include overseeing subordinate personnel, directing kitchen functions, and upholding superior food quality and safety measures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and direct daily culinary operations
- Support the Food Service Director with assigned responsibilities
- Manage kitchen activities and supervise staff on the floor
- Maintain certification in Food Safety Management
- Organize food supply orders and oversee inventory control
- Prepare for compliance evaluations and assist with necessary corrective measures
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness, safety, and adherence to programs
- Provide training and education to staff regarding sanitation and safety protocols
- Ensure accurate completion of documentation and reports
- Facilitate effective communication between staff and management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity
- ServSafe Manager Certification required
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Capability to inspire and enhance staff performance
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and large-scale food service equipment
- Experience with the National School Lunch Program is advantageous
BENEFITS:
