* Initiate daily nursing office activity sheets and update throughout the day
* Maintain licenses, certifications, and competencies of per diems, agency staff, and travelers on file
* Enter all paperwork, including vacation requests, sick notes, and schedule changes
* Enter changes and alterations from staffing sheets
* Copy previous day\u2019s staffing sheets for Nursing Directors
* Track decedents and have a plan B in case the morgue becomes full
* Enter acuity numbers into the Catalyst program
* Enter daily nursing variance report
* Answer heavy volume of incoming phone calls
* Dispatch transporters and keep patient transporting log
* Update daily registry report
* Input new monthly schedules
* Keep Registry files current
Decedent Affairs:
* Maintain morgue log to nursing office log
* Assist in placement of decedent in a timely manner
* Facilitate process of decedent being placed in Los Angeles County morgue
* If coroner\u2019s case, assist Director/House Supervisor in completion of Form 18
Requirements:
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Previous clerical or unit secretary experience preferred
* Good writing and interpersonal skills required
* Ability to type and use computer preferred
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
