Job Title: Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our team at Moniker Management Services LLC. As an Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and staffing of our events, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Management: Manage the Catering Bar Staff, leading the team to meet the expectations of their roles while adhering to Moniker's values and standards.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Hire, train, and monitor the performances of Catering Bar Staff (Bartenders/Barbacks), manage staff to adhere to best practices, and schedule staff according to event needs.
  • Inventory Management: Forecast busier seasons and event weekends up to 4 months out for larger events, ensure staff is prepared and has the capacity/availability to execute, and communicate the schedule clearly with staff.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Provide weekly reports to Operations Director on staffing issues and job vacancies, ensure all staffing decisions comply with company policies and procedures, and submit Payroll to Operations Director and Office Manager according to schedule.
  • Vendor Management: Receive banquet event orders (BEOs) outlining the weekly details from the Operations Coordinators, order necessary cost of goods sold (COGS) and supplies within budget provided by Operations Director, and build and maintain relationships with vendors and distributors.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each event, prepare and conduct cocktail tastings for clients every other month, and track labor and Cost of Goods Sold and submit weekly reports to the Operations Director.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience related to management, staffing, and beverage service, and minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team of employees.
  • Skills: Proven problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Work Environment:
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with nights and weekends may be required.
  • Physical Demands: Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
