Job Title: Deputy Court Administrator

Job Summary:

The Franklin County Court of Common Pleas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Court Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our administrative leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the overall staff development and facilitating cross-functional teams to advance the Court's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison among all areas of the Court, including Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Elected Offices, Court Support Services, and Adult Probation.
  • Proactively identify and address resource needs to meet Court expectations, ensuring effective communication across all areas.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the Court, promoting strong employment relationships.
  • Communicate Court priorities, policies, and procedures to various departments to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Collaborate with departments to promote system improvements, address questions, gather feedback, and resolve concerns.
  • Provide guidance, assistance, training, and mentoring to departments as needed to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Maintain frequent contact with Court employees to clarify objectives, explain decisions, and advise on actions aligned with the Court's mission.
  • Supervise the Court's Administrative functions to include the Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology Departments, ensuring efficient administrative functions.
  • Develop tools and processes to collect data that analyzes and measures performance standards and indicators, generate and coordinate the creation of various reports on performance across all areas of the Court.
  • Monitor and analyze compliance with performance measures, assess progress, and communicate potential impacts to relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with all areas of the Court to identify and pursue grant opportunities and assess benefits and obligations.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all information obtained through Administration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Seven years' experience in the public sector or courts.
  • Five years' experience in a high-level administrative position.
  • Seven years' experience managing employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in a related field or a law degree.
