About the Role:

The Assistant Director of Event Services is a key member of the Oak View Group team, responsible for enhancing the experiences of our guests, employees, and stakeholders. This dynamic leader will develop, execute, and continuously evaluate aspects of the arena for all assigned events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, direction, and management of all functions and resources within the Event Services department.
  • Advance events with clients/tenants to ensure all aspects of the event are planned and covered.
  • Conduct staff, planning, and operational meetings to ensure smooth coordination of services to events.
  • Prepare and review all event-related expense estimates and work with the Director of Finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Inspect and complete checklists for all event spaces prior to events loading-in and post load-out.
  • Assist with preparing and updating CAD drawings for events.
  • Work closely with the Director of Security and Director of Guest Services to create and oversee best Guest Service policies and practices.
  • Coordinate and schedule all necessary permits for event-related needs.
  • Assist in creating reporting procedures to review and analyze feedback, identify trends, and data analytics for process improvements.

Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years' experience in event planning and/or event execution in a large-scale sports/live entertainment facility.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sport/Event Management, Hospitality, Training & Education, HR, or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience placing stagehand, audio & visual, show runners, police, t-shirt, and medical staffing calls for large, scaled events and sporting events.
  • Experience in dealing with third-party vendors for event rentals and event equipment.
  • Ability to create and manage a collaborative and diverse workforce.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
