Trade and Supply Chain Finance Director

Job Title: Trade and Supply Chain Finance Managing DirectorWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as Trade and Supply Chain Finance Managing Director. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic vision for trade and supply chain finance products, aligning them with IDB Invest's objectives and priorities.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement innovative trade and supply chain finance solutions that facilitate cross-border trade and support development goals.
- Lead the design and structuring of trade and supply chain finance products, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for product development, enhancing customer experience and increasing market share.
- Develop strategies to originate trade finance assets and distribute them to a broader investor base, enhancing liquidity and risk-sharing.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including businesses, financial institutions, and government agencies, to enhance collaboration and investment opportunities.
- Oversee the evaluation and management of risk associated with trade and supply chain financing, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.
- Establish metrics and frameworks for monitoring the performance and impact of trade and supply chain finance products, ensuring alignment with development outcomes and financial targets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the unit.
- Advocate for regulatory and policy frameworks that support trade and supply chain finance, contributing to a more conducive environment for investment.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience as a banker with a proven business track record.
- Expertise in designing and structuring trade and supply chain finance solutions.
- Strong market and stakeholder relationships.
- Master's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or another relevant field.
- Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank's official languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is required.
