Job Summary:

The Director of AI Strategy will play a pivotal role in identifying problem fits for AI, leading solutions, and driving these solutions through various problems. This strategic thinker will define the AI capability moving forward for Global Atlantic Financial Group Opportunities, a highly visible position within technology and business leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy large language model (LLM) driven solutions and machine learning models.
  • Work with large-scale data sets, including structured and unstructured data, to drive business outcomes.
  • Implement and optimize machine learning algorithms and deep learning models to enhance business processes.
  • Utilize AWS technologies such as Bedrock and Sagemaker for model training and deployment, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Experience with fine-tuning LLMs to customize them for business problems, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Experience with operating models on GPU-rendered machines, ensuring high-performance computing.
  • Develop solutions using publicly available AI Transformer libraries (e.g., Hugging Face), leveraging open-source technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning, applying this knowledge to drive business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working within AI and machine learning, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong proficiency in Python development, with experience in machine learning frameworks and deep learning toolsets.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and deep learning toolsets, including AWS services (e.g., Bedrock, Sagemaker).
  • Familiarity with AI Transformer libraries (e.g., Hugging Face), with the ability to develop and deploy solutions using publicly available models.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and understanding (NLU), with a strong focus on business applications.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and distributed computing, with experience in designing and deploying scalable solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation, with a drive to stay ahead of the curve in AI and machine learning.
