Key Responsibilities:
We are on the lookout for a visionary Distinguished Scientist with deep expertise in Observability. The ideal candidate will lead technological advancements, drive research initiatives, and develop innovative solutions while promoting machine learning standards and scalable, reliable frameworks.
Primary Objectives:
The selected individual will:
1. Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to remain at the forefront of AI/ML developments.
2. Critically assess new and existing observability solutions, identifying limitations and proposing innovative alternatives.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and data engineers, to identify and secure relevant datasets, ensuring high-quality data preprocessing for ML model training and testing.
4. Share research findings through publications, conferences, and presentations, effectively communicating complex AI/ML concepts to diverse audiences.
5. Mentor junior researchers, fostering a collaborative and creative research environment.
6. Partner with Product and ML Leaders to enhance existing products and introduce new solutions, improving organizational decision-making and data strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Data Science, or Observability.
- 5+ years of experience applying AI/ML in AI Operations or Observability.
- Proven success in designing and implementing large-scale AI/ML solutions, with a strong passion for data insights and a comprehensive understanding of analytics, technology, architecture, automation, and governance.
- In-depth knowledge of applying advanced ML concepts to logging data.
- Familiarity with modern cloud architecture best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead engineering teams.
Education:
- PhD or Master's degree in AI/ML, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
The typical pay range for this role is between $175,000 and $334,800 annually. This range reflects the base salary for all positions within this job grade. Actual salary offers will depend on various factors, including experience, education, and geography.
