Job Title: Helpdesk Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Helpdesk Technician to join our team at Exact Staff. As a Helpdesk Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to internal and external customers, resolving hardware and software issues, and maintaining help desk logs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-level technical support to customers via phone, email, or other electronic communication.
  • Respond to help desk calls and requests in a prompt and courteous manner, prioritizing multiple requests and troubleshooting problems in a timely manner.
  • Maintain help desk logs, generate problem reports, and escalate urgent problems to the next level of support or to systems administrators.
  • Provide training and instruction to users on standard desktop applications and operate and troubleshoot peripheral devices.
  • Work to identify and resolve system hardware problems and warranty replacements with vendors as necessary.
  • Enter and track calls and requests into the call tracking system, categorize, summarize, and create knowledge base entries.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on computer and peripheral equipment and provide hardware support to end users on peripheral networked and mobile devices.
  • Design, write, and produce documentation for software systems for use in training sessions and as user desk reference manuals.
  • Work cooperatively with technical support staff to resolve system problems and stay current with system information changes and updates.
