About the Role:

The Intravenous Specialist is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for assessing and evaluating patient health status related to vascular access and IV therapy needs. This role requires developing plans of care based on patient needs, identifying and utilizing age-specific teaching techniques for patients, and various teaching modalities for clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ultrasound technology for successful midline and PICC line placement
  • Function independently if necessary
  • Prioritize facility patient vascular access needs
  • Utilize vein visualization technology
  • Utilize facility information technology effectively for documentation purposes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, clinical and medical staff
  • Instruct clinical staff related to vascular access
  • Maintain expert peripheral IV placement skill

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Hampshire
  • Certification by the Vascular Access Certification Corporation within 1 year of hire
  • Three years of related experience
