Your Role:
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will:
- Engage with assigned clients to support the Customer Acquisition Process (CAP), Retention Management Process, and Recovery Process.
- Facilitate networking and nurture relationships with key customers.
- Provide comprehensive product and service information.
- Assist in the setup of new or existing systems, collaborating with distributor sales organizations.
- Implement VBSS techniques and document customer visits, establishing mutually agreed objectives and plans of action.
- Measure and record productivity improvements.
- Train operators on the effective use of our products.
- Maintain and expand relationships within assigned accounts.
- Deliver hands-on customer service and support.
- Monitor product conditions and recommend appropriate actions.
- Troubleshoot issues and suggest solutions, collaborating with Customer Service.
- Support Area Managers in field situations as directed.
- Manage special projects as assigned by the District Manager.
- Assist distributors and machine tool builders in field assignments.
- Participate in sales meetings and other activities as required.
- Conduct field testing as necessary, managing test accounts and tracking product performance.
- Communicate effectively with field test customers regarding status and coordination.
- Prepare presentations and reports on field test results.
Market Intelligence:
Utilize our CRM system for visit reports, scheduling, and activity management. Participate in tradeshows and open houses as assigned.
Your Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in the metalworking industry.
- Basic understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- An associate's degree or vocational training.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Outlook, and CRM software.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- A positive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented attitude.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Physical capability to lift 40+ pounds and engage in moderate physical activity.
- A commitment to ethical business practices.
- Willingness to travel for customer and distributor visits.
