Job Summary

Aimbridge Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Specialist to join our team. As a Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for administering multiple aspects of the health and welfare plans, including self-insured and fully-insured health plans, dental, vision, health savings account, flexible spending accounts, COBRA, and commuter benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Benefits Administration: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to benefits by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of ERISA, IRS regulations, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA.
  • Employee Inquiries: Handle benefits-related inquiries from employees and managers and address their concerns promptly.
  • Vendor Management: Work with third-party vendors and consultants to ensure benefit programs are administered accurately.
  • Benefits Research: Research and stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in employee benefits.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports related to benefit programs.
  • HR Support: Provide support to the HR department concerning interpretation of benefit practices and guidelines.
  • Management Guidance: Provide guidance on issues related to benefits for management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred plus 2 to 3 years of experience in benefit plan administration.
  • Skills: Solid working knowledge of subject matter, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and strong familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong organization and communication skills, ability to handle high-level confidentiality, and excellent problem-solving skills.
