About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paraplanner to join our team at Transcend Practice Management. As a Paraplanner, you will play a critical role in supporting our advisory team by providing technical expertise and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the advisory team, anticipating their needs and ensuring seamless execution of client plans.
  • Engage in proactive and critical thinking to enhance our operations and drive business growth.
  • Efficiently manage tasks, focusing the advisor's attention on high-priority activities and ensuring timely completion of client projects.
  • Collaborate with advisors to create accurate financial plans in Money Guide Pro, analyzing complex planning strategies, risks, and opportunities in areas such as retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, cash flow planning, asset allocation, and asset protection.
  • Own the implementation of client planning strategies, proactively reaching out to clients to formalize their financial plans and respond to client service needs throughout the year.
  • Stay current on trends in the financial planning area, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improve client outcomes.
  • Coordinate client meetings, staying updated on advisor priorities and project timelines.
  • Prepare for and attend client meetings, taking notes, completing follow-up, and corresponding with clients.
  • Participate in client and planning meetings, translating discussions into actionable strategies for data collection and analysis to drive financial planning efforts.
  • Develop client deliverables and reports in a timely, accurate, and informative manner.
  • Continuously build relationships with clients, understanding their unique circumstances, connections, talents, interests, and anticipating their needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • FPQP, CFP, or AAMSSM certification is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the industry and as a Paraplanner is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior relationship management skills.
  • Strong computer desktop skills, particularly in Microsoft Office tools (Excel) and Money Guide Pro.
  • Team player eager to share knowledge and learn from the team.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and take initiative.
  • Strong client advocate who follows through on commitments.
  • Long-term view, seeing opportunities ahead and excited to take steps to achieve them.
