Position Summary
The Lead Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in overseeing complex financial operations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage intricate financial functions including budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and comprehensive analysis.
2. Gather and scrutinize financial information from diverse sources to ensure accuracy and compliance.
3. Develop, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets, generating essential financial reports as needed.
4. Maintain meticulous records and documentation to support financial activities.
5. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance the financial performance of the organization.
6. Facilitate management's understanding of budgetary and rate-related issues.
7. Identify, address, and mitigate complex financial challenges to prevent future occurrences.
8. Ensure adherence to internal policies and relevant government regulations, including DAR and FAR.
9. Conduct and lead audits and analyses of direct and indirect costs, ensuring compliance with established practices and procedures.
10. Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors on complex auditing tasks.
11. Propose enhancements to financial policies and procedures to optimize efficiency.
12. Participate in team initiatives aimed at improving departmental functionality.
13. Mentor and guide junior Financial Analysts to foster professional growth.
Financial Analysis Management
1. Oversee the financial analysis function for large and complex projects or organizational units.
2. Forecast budgets, staffing levels, and performance metrics in alignment with project or departmental goals.
3. Collaborate with senior management to establish project timelines and departmental objectives.
4. Recommend innovative methods and processes related to financial analysis and present findings to senior leadership.
Cost Analysis
1. Analyze financial data to ascertain costs associated with goods production or service delivery.
2. Monitor and evaluate inventory valuation, production costs, and related expenditures.
3. Provide insightful financial recommendations to management based on cost analysis outcomes.
4. Assist in the upkeep of cost accounting procedures and conduct regular cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancements.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including a comprehensive understanding of DAR/FAR and applicable government regulations.
