The Student Finance Associate plays a crucial role in the Student Finance Office, supporting the overall operations of the Finance team. This position serves as the primary liaison for students, parents, and staff regarding tuition and fee-related inquiries for academic enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential for this role:
1. Deliver exceptional customer service in a dynamic environment, guiding students on payment options and deadlines.
2. Assist students in establishing refund preferences and payment plans while applying applicable discounts.
3. Accurately process all payment forms for students and organizational transactions.
4. Analyze various student accounts, including financial aid, scholarships, and payment plans.
5. Ensure correct charges and accounting codes while verifying cash and check totals.
6. Reconcile daily payment transactions and prepare bank deposits.
7. Manage petty cash disbursements and verify supporting documentation.
8. Process tuition deferrals for third-party contracts and manage timely invoicing.
9. Aid in the review and processing of financial aid and refund requests.
10. Follow up on collections for overdue balances on assigned accounts.
11. Prepare and reconcile state reporting documentation.
12. Assist with the review of tax reporting forms.
13. Maintain accurate records by scanning and linking documents in the financial system.
14. Generate weekly billing statements and assess late fees as necessary.
15. Reconcile monthly accounting schedules for assigned accounts.
16. Record daily revenue from auxiliary services into the financial system.
17. Uphold compliance with relevant privacy regulations in student finance.
18. Conduct data analysis and assist with reporting as needed to support finance objectives.
19. Update financial system and website with new term information.
20. Reconcile retiree payments and assist with billing processes.Qualifications:
Required:
1. Associate Degree
2. One year of experience in a financial or accounting role.
3. Two years of experience in a customer service capacity.
Preferred:
1. Coursework in accounting or finance.
2. Experience in analyzing and reconciling financial transactions.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Familiarity with ERP systems and report generation.
5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
6. Excellent communication abilities.
7. Experience in cash handling.Work Schedule:

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
