We are currently seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Release Train Engineer (RTE) to play a pivotal role in one of our flagship programs. This position will involve overseeing multiple Agile Development Teams, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including scrum of scrums, retrospectives, and planning sessions.
  • Act as a representative for the Command & Control (C2) domain at program-level scrums, promoting continuous improvement and mentoring team leads in agile methodologies.
  • Ensure effective communication across Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to eliminate obstacles and enhance process efficiency.
  • Serve as the main contact for operational discrepancies, providing timely support and updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage C2 component processes and documentation, driving the execution of the C2 increment plan to ensure timely feature delivery.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of an active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with Satellite Command & Control, Mission Management systems, or Ground Station systems.
  • Background in Agile or DevOps environments, collaborating with Software Engineering and Integration teams.
  • Expertise in operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis, interface definition, and verification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on large-scale government contracts.
  • Ability to develop and analyze metrics to enhance component performance in terms of cost, technical execution, and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with application lifecycle management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with various levels of management and team members.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, thriving in a multidisciplinary team environment.
