Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our maintenance operations. This role will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be pivotal in managing the maintenance department and ensuring reliability performance. The successful candidate will lead a team that includes maintenance supervisors and reliability engineers, driving operational excellence in line with our business objectives.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness within the maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance, MRO, purchasing, and reliability initiatives within a manufacturing setting through direct reports.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient maintenance of all operational equipment and assets to support production activities.
  • Plan and execute mechanical and operational enhancements.
  • Contribute to the assessment and planning of production modifications.
  • Provide strategic guidance for the installation and alteration of equipment.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
  • Lead the safety initiatives for the maintenance team.
  • Collaborate with production personnel and management to address maintenance and reliability challenges.
  • Engage with departmental managers and supervisors to maintain equipment in a safe and functional state.
  • Evaluate operational processes and identify opportunities for productivity improvements and cost reductions.
  • Participate in the organization and planning of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Manage the inventory of maintenance parts and supplies for the region.
  • Guide lead personnel in achieving departmental goals and enhancing productivity.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Adhere to safety protocols while working in environments with hazardous materials.
  • Ability to operate in high-risk settings, including adverse weather, elevated areas, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures.
  • Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing, and performing various physical activities as required.
  • Willingness to utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading maintenance teams within a manufacturing context.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead teams and achieve results through collaboration.
  • Strong capability to mentor and develop a maintenance workforce.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of production and facility equipment.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems or similar software.
