Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the operations of both skilled and unskilled maintenance personnel, as well as the electrical and tool-making teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring effective planning and scheduling.
• Assess, prioritize, and organize project execution through the established work order system.
• Provide essential maintenance resources during breakdowns and urgent situations.
• Source and procure necessary repair and replacement components.
• Monitor and evaluate utility and repair expenditures for the facility.
• Implement and maintain preventive maintenance protocols while keeping detailed records.
• Enhance equipment availability through proactive measures, including the use of CMMS, vibration analysis, oil analysis, and infrared scanning.
• Conduct standard supervisory functions such as employee selection, development, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations by all team members.
• Document and track maintenance activities and time management.
• Collaborate with the engineering department on upcoming projects and maintain relationships with service providers.
• Prepare and submit Capital Appropriation Requests (C.A.Rs) for maintenance initiatives.
• Engage in continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects.
• Identify and rectify unsafe conditions while promoting safe work practices.
• Recognize development opportunities for team members and facilitate skills training.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a reliability or maintenance environment within manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs is essential.
• Proven track record as a leader in industrial safety.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is required.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safety alarm systems.
• Expertise in hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, PLCs, machine shop practices, welding, power train systems, schematics, and print reading.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities.
• Competence in employee selection, development, performance management, and leadership.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Project, and CMMS.
