Position Title: Inventory Control Supervisor
Reports To: Director of Warehouse Operations
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour based on experience.
Work Schedule: Hourly, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with scheduled breaks at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and a 30-minute lunch break at noon.

Role Summary

Cenmed Enterprises operates a 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse along with six additional storage facilities. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a background in managing inventory within a warehouse or distribution center of similar size. This role is crucial for overseeing and enhancing the organization’s inventory management processes and protocols. The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Cenmed's inventory counts, addressing discrepancies, tracking expiration dates, managing returns, and supervising 1-2 team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and coordinate inventory control protocols for bulk stock and raw materials.
  • Establish and standardize processes aimed at improving inventory precision and reducing shrinkage.
  • Conduct inventory audits to ensure compliance with quarterly benchmarks.
  • Design processes that integrate inventory consolidation and replenishment to optimize storage locations and enhance warehouse capacity.
  • Revamp the existing inventory framework at Cenmed.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct bi-monthly inventory assessments, identifying and rectifying discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff on inventory verification during the picking phase.
  • Maintain oversight of inventory accuracy and integrity, performing regular cycle and spot counts, and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Document any adjustments in the ERP system and maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee the cycle counting process and manage expiration tracking.
  • Lead semi-annual inventory assessments at the corporate location.
  • Supervise the inventory put-away process from the receiving team.
  • Manage the complete return process for all Cenmed clients.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory control within wholesale or retail distribution or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of warehousing and inventory management principles.
  • Ability to interpret shipping documentation effectively.
  • Exceptional numerical skills and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
