Job Overview

Position: Receiving & Inventory Associate

Reports To: Director of Warehouse Operations

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey

Shift: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential extended hours as approved by management.

Breaks: 30-minute lunch at noon and two 15-minute breaks at 10 am and 2 pm.

Compensation: Starting at $18 - Temp to permanent opportunity based on performance and attendance after 90 days.

Role Summary

As a Receiving and Inventory Associate at CENMED ENTERPRISES INC., you will be an integral part of our 15,000-square-foot warehouse, engaging in the receipt, unloading, loading, and fulfillment of inventory orders.

Your responsibilities will include handling products, materials, supplies, and equipment with care and efficiency. You will also support various warehouse functions as needed, including production and service roles.

We are looking for candidates with prior experience in warehouse operations, particularly from large retail, third-party logistics (3PL), or distribution environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and package spare parts, sub-assemblies, or finished goods for shipment to customers and vendors.
  • Receive and verify incoming freight, ensuring accurate counts and proper documentation.
  • Package and ship outgoing materials, confirming accuracy in shipping instructions and documentation.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including filing, retrieving paperwork, and managing return goods.
  • Provide local transportation services for pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 6S standards.
  • Exhibit regular attendance, safe work practices, and compliance with all safety policies.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by warehouse leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations within wholesale or retail distribution.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and warehousing processes.
  • Ability to interpret shipping documents effectively.
  • Strong numerical skills and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
