We are seeking a dedicated individual with exceptional customer service abilities to join our team as a Patient Service Representative. This role demands attention to detail and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team setting. Candidates should be adept at managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Familiarity with the healthcare sector and insurance processes is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and visitors. Welcome and guide patients, sales representatives, and guests. Verify and update information for both new and existing patients, ensuring all insurance and consent forms are current in our management systems. Determine insurance coverage and confirm eligibility. Accurately input personal health and financial data into our systems, adhering to privacy regulations. Assist patients in completing necessary documentation as required. Communicate any delays or wait times to patients. Ensure patient records are complete and organized. Review and confirm the accuracy of the physician's schedule. Collect and process co-payments. Facilitate patient flow by coordinating with medical assistants. Schedule appointments via phone and in-person. Arrange interpreter services for patient appointments when necessary. Handle outgoing referrals as needed. Complete assigned tasks and assist colleagues as directed. Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined during onboarding and in the Associate Handbook.Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong attendance and communication skills. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment. Proactive problem-solving abilities. Minimum of one year of customer service experience. Minimum of one year of experience in a receptionist role.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with insurance verification. Background in healthcare. Familiarity with EPIC systems.Work Environment:
