Patient Services Associate

Job Summary
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Associate to join our team. As a key member of our medical office staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Patient Flow Management: Greet and direct patients to their appointments, prepare the daily clinic schedule, and update physician schedules to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Administrative Support: Maintain patient files and records, interface with corporate departments, and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Communication and Coordination: Coordinate office communication flow, communicate effectively with patients and staff, and demonstrate a caring attitude towards patients and their families.
- Scheduling and Billing: Schedule new and follow-up appointments, verify patient insurance information, and reconcile patient payments on a daily basis.
- Quality and Safety: Maintain patient confidentiality, identify and collect co-pays, deductibles, and other payments, and prepare billing sheets to ensure accurate and timely claims processing.
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Three years of recent experience in a related position in a medical office setting preferred.
- Skills: Superior customer service and verbal and written communication skills, strong computer knowledge, and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Benefits and Compensation
Pediatrix Medical Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) thrift program, employee stock purchase plan, and more. The expected pay for this position ranges from $26.44 per hour, with actual pay computed based on years of relevant experience.
