Patient Service Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at Swedish Issaquah. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients through our hospital and emergency department. Your exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient information and support to ensure seamless flow through the hospital and emergency department
- Provide front-line customer service, including reception and registration
- Interview patients and families to obtain demographic and financial data, complete consents, and collect valuables and deposits
- Assist patients with billing, insurance, and collection questions and concerns
- Process financial aid applications and serve as a conduit to other staff members for payment arrangements
- Facilitate registration functions for patients during their hospitalization
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably inpatient or outpatient admitting
- Patient registration or financial counseling experience a plus
