Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Team Lead to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will be responsible for leading a team of sterile processing technicians and ensuring the efficient and effective processing of medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Departmental Operations: Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize workflow.
  • Quality and Safety: Collaborate with team members to identify and address quality and safety issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Supply Chain Management: Assist with the ordering and inventory management of supplies and equipment to ensure timely delivery and minimize waste.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification required.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in sterile processing required.
