- Sterilization and Decontamination: Coordinate with the Sterile Processing Department to ensure that all equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and decontaminated.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, sterilization, and decontamination, as well as any issues or concerns related to surgical procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and that surgical procedures run smoothly.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a surgical or sterile processing environment.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
