Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Team Lead to join our team at South Suburban Parks and Recreation. As a key member of our aquatic staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our patrons while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lifeguarding and Water Rescue: Provide lifeguarding services and respond to emergencies in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Pool Operations: Oversee the daily maintenance and cleaning of the pool facility, including chemical readings and equipment maintenance.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train lifeguard staff, including lesson instruction and pool operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, including responding to questions and concerns.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and incidents in a calm and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of lifeguarding experience and one year of supervisory experience.
  • Certifications: Current certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and CPR/AED.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
